Resyst (Resilient Systems)

Controller/Filter implementation design in the context of finite computational resources.

- Abstract :
The numerical implementation of dynamic systems in embedded systems is is subject to the search for the best cost/performances tradeoff. This topic has been studied from now by two research communities: on the one hand by the control community (analytic criteria of the performance degradations) and on the other hand by the signal and computing science community (fixed-point to floating-point conversion, roundoff noise, etc.) We propose to develop the approach began in T. Hilaire’s thesis, at the liaison between control, computing science (numerical analysis and real time), to take in consideration the parameter varying systems and the delays in the communications into the analysis of the filter/controller implementation.

This 2-year project has begun in May 2010.
